The Phantoms are back! With a brand-new full-length album! Back at Musiktheater Piano – once again!
Fresh, gripping, and unpredictable, the new songs of the Phantoms blast through the speakers, straight into your ears, pulling the listener into a new world full of emotions and adventure.
The new album “FOREVER DARK” was released on November 7, 2025.
More than 30 years ago, the Phantoms launched their career with a sensational sold-out concert at Musiktheater Piano in Dortmund.
On May 9, 2026, the Phantoms are back on stage – again!
During the 1990s, the Phantoms made a huge impact with over 800 unforgettable concerts, tours with Iggy Pop, The Stranglers, The Sisters of Mercy, the Sex Pistols, Cypress Hill, The Prodigy, and many others. With their magical, mystical music, nine albums, and a unique stage show, they caused quite a stir.
In the mid-1990s, the song “SUN” reached the Top 3 of the official German DAC charts alongside Metallica’s “One” and Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, filling rock dance floors all across Europe.
The Phantoms produced the first official soundtrack “Sea Warrior” for Sea Shepherd. On the TV show Arabella, they openly addressed cannabis use with their song “Mary Jane”, which was also featured on Das aktuelle Sportstudio.
The Phantoms turned the world upside down!
After a break of over 20 years and excursions with other musical projects, Sir Hannes had a strong desire to bring the Phantoms back to life.
The music video for “SUN” has now finally been produced – something Sony Music failed to do at the time. In addition, a new song titled “STOCKING GIRL” has been released.
Unfortunately, the original cast was no longer able to start due to death and illness, so that the optimal cast was sought and found in a lengthy search phase.
The demo songs gave both the listeners and the musicians goose bumps...
