The legendary alternative rock band LIVING COLOUR, founded in New York in 1984, is considered one of the pioneers of crossover. Even before “crossover” existed as a genre, Living Colour experimented with different styles and combined them to create the unique sound for which they are still famous today: they combine hard rock with hip hop beats, funk, soul, pop and rap to create a sound that is as unique as it is legendary.
Living Colour have not only achieved cult status, they have also gone platinum several times during their career and won two Grammys. The band split up in the mid-nineties and made a brilliant return in 2002.
