The Danish roots rockers are not taking a break and will be back on tour in 2026 after their successful release tour for the new album.

Thorbjörn Risager & The Black Tornado are Denmark's leading roots rockers and have proven this not only with their new album “House of sticks” (release 01/25 Mascot Records). For more than twenty years, the band has been playing tirelessly on stages all over the world, thrilling audiences time and time again. It is not only the band's charismatic stage presence, but also their special sound, which combines soul, Chicago blues, boogie and rock'n'roll and casts a spell over the listener. Thorbjörn Risager's voice, somewhere between Ray Charles, Van Morrison and Billy Gibbons, is the icing on the cake.

The multi-award-winning septet not only turns audiences into fans, but also colleagues and music legends: The band has performed as support for Bonnie Raitt and Tedeschi Trucks Band, among others, and frontman Thorbjorn Risager himself has shared the stage with legends such as Buddy Guy, Doyle Bramhall II and Robben Ford. And who can count Elwood Blues himself - Dan Akroyd - among his fans?

In January 2025, Thorbjörn Risager & The Black Tornado released their ninth studio album “House of Sticks” on their new label Provogue/Mascot Label Group, which was celebrated not only by fans but also by critics!

Next year, the Danish roots rockers will be touring extensively again to thrill their fans with their explosive live shows!
