Even after more than half a century, Manfred Mann and his Earth Band are still not tired: new dates in summer 2025
More than half a century has now passed since South African keyboardist Manfred Mann founded his Earth Band in 1971. In this long band history, Manfred Mann and his Earth Band have tried out a lot, so that it is difficult to put this exceptional band into a musical category: Blues Rock, Jazz Rock, Progressive Rock, Rhythm `n` Blues mark a few cornerstones of the musical field of tension in which Manfred Mann's Earth Band moves.
Their first albums were followed by success in the international charts, with songs such as “Blinded by the light”, “I came for you” and “Davy's is on the road again” not only leading to commercial success, but also becoming classics. So it is hardly surprising that the band is not only known to music connoisseurs.
In addition to its chart successes, Manfred Mann's Earth Band has earned a reputation as an exceptional live band. Since its foundation, the band has played its way up from the clubs to renowned halls and still regularly goes on tour today to thrill audiences live. And, apart from a short break, the Manfred Mann's Earth Band has been doing just that for over 50 years: they continue to thrill their audiences!
In addition to band founder Manfred Mann (keyboards, vocals), founding member Mick Rogers (guitar, vocals) is still part of the band. The legendary band is completed by Steve Kinch (bass) and John Lingwood (drums), and since 2011 Robert Hart (vocals) has been the new voice of Manfred Mann's Earth Band.
